Happy Spring!
We are off to a great start here on the farm as we embark on our 14th season. So far we’ve seeded thousands of veggies in the greenhouse and worked up ground in the field. By mid April we will be transplanting lettuce, kale, cabbage, chard, spinach, broccolini, onions, and scallions. And of course, we are looking forward to planting the potatoes : )

Spring always brings us a renewed sense of purpose as we take on the immense responsibility of growing tons of healthy veggies for the CSA community. On a personal note, this Spring is special to me since my daughter, who is now 3, has a greater awareness of what we do on the farm. On our latest visit to the farm, Althea asked, “Can we pick cherry tomatoes?” I told her that we would pick them this summer.
Cherry Tomato Expansion
Speaking of cherry tomatoes, I am excited to announce that we are planting an additional row. And this extra row will all be Sungolds! After discussing the pick-your-own plans with the farm crew it was clear that we needed to expand the cherry tomato offering. Don’t worry, we will still have the other three varieties.

We also planted more garlic than ever before and it’s looking great!

The Frenchtown Bridge is Open

Though unrelated to our efforts in the field, we are thrilled that the Frenchtown Bridge is open in both directions. The workers are wrapping up their year-long renovations, leaving behind a shiny new-looking bridge with a broader pedestrian path. Althea keeps saying, “The workers are done.” And now it’s easier for us to stroll across to our favorite coffee shop : )

We are looking forward to the weeks ahead and hoping to see you all soon on the farm!
